A Week Later...

So yes, we have had internet for a week. My apologies for the lack of posting. Anyway...

We now live in Portage, Michigan! I assume most everyone reading this blog also got our recent newsletter, but if not let me know. Nathan will be serving as the Interim Minister of Outreach at Calvary Bible Church in Kalamazoo for the next 9 months while we continue to raise support. We have received a very warm welcome from the church and are looking forward to the months of ministry here!

We are living in the home of missionaries who are currently serving in Nepal. The house is very big and very nice and we are very blessed! Josiah has lots of room to run around and lots of stairs to climb. The house is two stories with a finished basement, so Josiah has play areas on all three levels. The house is furnished and we have lots of room for visitors!

I plan to give you a tour of the house sometime soon, but until then, here's an outside picture.

Josiah has adjusted very quickly and very well. While Nathan is at the church office from 8-5, we have a good routine of playing, eating, napping, and going out. But when 5 rolls around, we are both very anxious to see daddy again! Joe is spending much more time in the care of others than he ever has before since he's in the church nursery 3 times a week and we have started going to the YMCA where he stays in child care while we work out. This is not always easy for him, but hopefully it will get better. Though I've only been 3 times, I think the Y will be pretty key to the rehabilitation of my ankle, so he doesn't have much choice! :)

Besides, even if I could run, it's much too cold! There has been quite a bit of snow on the ground since we got here and more falls every few days. This past weekend we all got bundled up to play outside...

Seriously, all Josiah wants to do outside is eat snow. He loves to be outside and he loves the snow!

But daddy knows there are better things to do in the snow, and maybe soon Josiah will learn that too.

  3. Its been so long...

We love Josiah falling. The house looks huge...can't wait to be the "visitors"...watching Nathan build the snowman reminded me of when he used to make me think it was cool to dig big ditches in the sand on days when we would go to the beach. fun memories.

Shannon, I am really glad you are going to the Y. Even if it bugs Jo a little bit, its important for him and for you that you get taken care of (and that's important to us too : )
