Don't hide, go outside!

Yesterday we got to take a tour of a local fire station. Most of the kiddos were little ones like Josiah and couldn't appreciate the actual explanation, but who needs explanation when there's a big red truck?!

And even if you don't understand the words being said, everyone understands a big pole with a hook on the end.

He was pretty happy.

But this made him super happy!

He could have stayed in there all day.

Then he wandered away from the crowd and found this.

And then a curly redhead appeared and things just kept getting better. Josiah is always happy when Emmy is around.

He's also happy when milk and cookies are around. The kiddos took a break to watch a fire safety video.

And then there was the big finish... the water hose! Josiah was seriously so excited every time it sprayed.

Daddy and Josiah wait in line for a turn at the hose.

It's a heavy hose. Hence the very red, strained face.

And then he got a hat!
