Cats and Birds

As he rides his little car around the yard or pushes his wagon, Josiah is always going "to the zoo." He says it every time. So yesterday we actually went to the zoo. Which, I admit, is probably a strange thing to do in the winter. There were fewer animals (the alligators get sent to Florida in the winter!) but also fewer people. A lot fewer people. And the animals that were there were all very active. I don't know if it was the specific time of day we were there or the fact that it wasn't ridiculously hot like the last time we went to the zoo. Did you know that flamingos are born gray and turn pink because of the shrimp (and maybe some other stuff too) that they eat?
