Nana Visits Kindergarten

This post is more appropriately titled "Nana Visits the Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens with Lick Hang Kindergarten." But that title is clearly too long. An even more appropriate title would be "Nana Watches Josiah Stand in Line."

We all took the 8:05 ferry to Central, arriving at 8:35.

Then all the kids stood in their class lines until the chartered bus arrived at 9:15.

Then we arrived at the Botanical Gardens (after a mandatory toilet stop) and the kids stood in their class lines again, waiting to take class pictures.

Josiah doesn't care much for standing in line.

Then they took class pictures.

Then they stood in line again playing games.

This guy was pretty tired of all the lines.
(Clearly my pictures are out of order since Daniel is napping in the Ergo in the picture above. But you get my point.)

If he would have taken a nap when he was supposed to, like his friend W, he would have been much happier.

Of course, you didn't honestly think Josiah was just standing in line this whole time, right?

Because he definitely wasn't.

Finally, the last game did not involve lines. A revolutionary circle!
The three ladies in the middle are teachers. The one on the left will be Josiah's K3 teacher. The other two are his current teachers.

And then we were finally released to see the animals!

From 1989 to 2008, this Jaguar was one of the live animals that could be seen. And now she is stuffed. This concept was a bit confusing to Josiah. We talked about jaguars (and leopards and panthers) for the next week.

Overall, it was a delightful day at the gardens and I just love that there are gardens and fountains and zoo animals and playgrounds and nice greenery to be found right in the middle of Central's skyscrapers!

This concludes the Nana Visits posts -
thanks for visiting Nana!
