Wiggles

A friend in California nicknamed Josiah "Wiggles." Several months ago. Though he can sit quickly and look at a book, here are some of the reasons for the nickname:

1. Legs. And even when he is calm, one foot is still usually going up and down hitting the floor.

2. Hands. This is even more exciting when he has a toy in each hand. Also exciting if you try to nap with him.

3. Jumping. We got a Johnny Jump Up but he doesn't like it all that much yet. He prefers to just wear us out instead.

4. Crawling. He spent all afternoon moving himself to objects that were out of reach. I still don't think I can quite call this crawling, but he is definitely mobile.

A few pictures of where we are now:

  1. RE: Legs & Hands - Normal and looking good! The granson is working on becoming a classic fidget just like his grandfather. Go for it Josiah!

RE: Crawling - I think that was the Josiah version of the "Hokey Pokey"

  2. He's crawling/falling!! I'm so proud! :)
Seems like maybe it's a balance thing? Like he's trying to figure out how to move his arms without falling over... Especially with all that weight in his head, I bet its hard :) Anyways, that's cool and fun - cant wait to see you guys again!

  3. I would difinitely categorize that as crawling. He is intentionally moving his hand and legs to propel himself to a real goal. Have you ever noticed the way some people walk?! He's a crawler!!!!!
