Outside

We're done with class at 3pm everyday. So it has been our custom the last few days to go back to our apartment, get a snack and maybe a diaper change, and then go walking. There is a great little 1/2 mile trail through the woods on campus. Josiah loves it and it's nice to get away from other people to talk.

There are always new things to discover in the woods.

Like trucks to ride. Did you know this was a truck?

And that stick is the key. It goes in the keyhole, obviously.

Gives you things to think about, doesn't it?

Anyway, when we're done with the walk, we usually go find this truck. Josiah loves it. It actually has a key in it that makes noise when he turns it. He always turns the key before making his truck go anywhere.

And the place he wants it to go is down hill. He always takes it to this hill. Josiah is gonna miss that truck when we leave.

Here are a few pictures of the CIT campus.

This is the building where we have class.

And here's the cafeteria. Though after this week we're back to fixing our own meals in our apartment. Which I'm kinda looking forward to.

This is our apartment building.

And the back. Our apartment is on the other side, though.

This is the playground behind the apartment building.

More playground. The kiddos also have a playground attached to their classroom.

Josiah has really made big changes from the beginning of the week until now. He still has a bit of a hard time say bye to me in the mornings, but he is doing great once I'm gone. Today he even napped for the whole afternoon session. He's sleeping better at night and his appetite has improved. It usually takes him about 2 days to adjust to a new environment, so I'm thankful that has proven true this time as well. He loves playing with the older kids who are here. His confidence seemed shaken at the beginning of the week - a new place and just getting over the flu - but that confidence seems to be back. I've been a little worried about how all this change has effected him, but he's doing well. Now I just have to worry about how he'll do when we leave CIT in a month! :)

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:33-34

  3. Seems to be a nice place! And not very old either. You have a good feel on Joe's pulse, how he is doing on this long suitcase run. How are YOU doing?
