Spring is Coming!

It's exciting to live in a place where Spring actually means something. It's also exciting to watch flowers start to pop up around the yard! This is our back yard. There is quite a bit of landscaping throughout the yard, though you can't really see it all in this picture. A neighbor told me that this yard used to be "the pride and joy of the neighborhood." Well, I doubt anyone will say that about it this year, but I'm excited to see what I can do during the days that Joe and I roam around outside.
Much of the landscaping needs some work.
This is in the front yard and has lots of big rocks to play with.
And these are pictures of the plants and flowers popping up around the yard. It may not seem so exciting in pictures, but after weeks of snow and lots of brown everywhere, the new shoots of green are super exciting! Especially since I also get to watch expectantly to see what they produce.

And now some pictures with the boy. In his camo and blue shoes.
Josiah loves to wander away from our yard and into the neighbor's yards. It would be nice to have a fence, but it's also nice to not have one.

FYI, rocks are great for filing down new teeth.
Thank you God for sunshine and warm(ish) weather!

  1. Quote: "Josiah loves to wander away from our yard and into the neighbor's yards." -- Might be a family tradition that is passed from grandfather to daughter and now to grandson. Glad to know the grandson is learning good traditions.
