A Week in NC: Part 3

Josiah really loves animals and was excited to get several animal experiences during our visit to NC.

Here, Josiah is patiently waiting for an opportunity to touch the kitty. The kitty, however, is simply waiting for an opportunity to bolt.

Observe:

Josiah pursued.
And probably would have gone under the car.
Thankfully, he didn't.

Then there were the chickens.
And the roosters. Hello alarm clock. The roosters next door crowed throughout the morning and each time Josiah heard one he would say "cock-coo-kee!"
This is what happens when a chicken bites your finger.

And then there were the ducks and geese at the lake. This is how we were greeted.
They clearly saw our bag of bread a mile away.
This is Josiah's excited shoulder-scrunch-squeal. He often gets this scrunch when animals are around.
Observe both the shoulder scrunch squeal and the opposite of such.
