A slow week...

Nathan left on Sunday for a week of teaching. Josiah and I made a paper chain to count down the days until he's back. The chain seems really long still. I suppose it is only Tuesday.

The flat that we were ready to sign papers for fell through. It's just as well. The owner was being a bit sketchy and though neither one of us wanted to admit it out loud, neither Nathan nor I felt at peace about the place. We're just so ready for a place to call home and there was no great reason to back out of this place. So I'm glad God took care of that for us. Our realtor has another similar place to show us sometime this week. Maybe that's the one we'll call home?

Josiah and I have been having a pretty good time hanging out by ourselves... playing hide and go seek, acting out David and Goliath, taking naps, reading books, watching movies... you know, the things you do with a 2-year-old.

I skyped with Nathan a bit at his lunch break and here are some things to pray for:

1. Praise God that their group of students is bigger than last time!
2. Praise God there is more interaction within the group, as Nathan and Cary push the students to come up with their own application points.
3. Pray for a meeting tonight with a committee that oversees minority training. People are leaving other trainings because they want to attend SALT training, but the other trainings give money to the local body. I don't know a lot of details, but we all know how money makes things icky.
4. Pray for the next 3 days of training. Training days are long and intense, so pray for perseverance for all involved.
5. Pray for meetings at the end of the week with potential new partners.

Thanks!
I'll try to get you some fun videos of Josiah later this week. He has thus far refused all my requests for him to sing for the camera. It's much harder to get good video now that he is fully aware of what the camera is. Thankfully he is taking a super long nap right now, so maybe he'll be extra cooperative... haha.
