Louisiana Part 3: The Wedding

Well, before there was a wedding, there had to be a graduation. Kara attended her college graduation on Saturday morning. We didn't go because, well, graduation ceremonies are generally boring and we have a small child. But we're super proud of you, Auntie Kara!

So we get to the plantation and work needs to be done. Not the manly work of moving heavy things. Girly wedding type work. But my wonderful husband rose to the occasion and wove the tulle and greenery along the arbor.
You did such a great job, babe!
The groom and groomsmen arrive, decked out in their finest shoes!
The bridesmaids are ready!
The bride is ready!
Wedding time!!!

Mr. and Mrs. Carey Westbrook! Congratulations brother and sister!

Trying to be a bridesmaid and care for a little one who decides not to take a bottle is not the easiest task in the world.
But he's cute, so I suppose it's ok.

While the groom and bride danced...
Josiah napped! I kept trying to find a cute wedding outfit, but in the end he just wound up in khaki shorts and a white polo. Considering how incredibly hot it was, it's a good thing I never found anything else.
Hi Uncle Jer! We're glad you came!
Brothers are silly.
We tried to take a nice picture of the three of us, but we waited too long and Josiah was not cooperating. He might look happy in this picture, but he's not.
It was a long, hot day, but a beautiful wedding!

Crawfish boil pictures are next!

  2. You said that it was a long hot day, but the pics made it look pretty nice! The wedding looked like it went well, the maiden of honor looked lovely, and Josiah's eyes are looking pretty blue in the sunlight (and brothers are silly)
    Congrats to the new couple!
