Louisiana Part 4: The Crawfish
On Sunday afternoon, Carey and Kara hosted a crawfish boil for people from out of town. For those of you who have not been to a crawfish boil, let me explain how it works...
The crawfish are alive and crawling.
The crawfish are alive and swimming in salt water so they, um, purge themselves.
The crawfish are dying.
The crawfish are dead.
The crawfish are being eaten.
The crawfish are making people happy.
Josiah prefers his fingers to crawfish.
On to other things. This is the group of Morrison 2003 graduates who came to Kara's wedding... from Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New York, Washington, and Canada!
Josiah went swimming for the first time. He seemed to like it.
Josiah especially liked swimming with Aunt Mary Ann!
Auntie Kara decided that if Josiah was going to swim in his clothes, then she would too!
And at the end of the day, Josiah was so tired that he sucked on ice because a pacifier was not readily available.
And that is the end of our Louisiana trip, though I'll post some more random pictures in the days to come. It was great to get away from California for a bit, great to see family, and great to add a brother into the family!
