Happy Birthday Josiah!

For most of the day today, if you asked Josiah "how old are you?" he would say "five." Because it made people laugh. But two is definitely old enough. It's weird to think he's been part of our family for 2 years!

So to celebrate those 2 years, we went to the Georgia Aquarium to see both Santa

and the whale sharks. The whale sharks were pretty incredible.

Josiah got to slide through a whale and out it's mouth,
(which Jonah should have considered trying)

and hug a fish!
I'm not sure who liked the Aquarium more, Nathan or Josiah, but both definitely had a great time!

We had a dinner of black beans and rice, which the little guy loves. This picture is to show you that he is finally getting the teeth that most every kid has by his first birthday.

And Josiah was once again successful at blowing out his candle.

Actually, he blew it out about 5 times because it made him so happy.

Josiah is such a blessing and we are so thankful for him!

And now just for the sake of posterity... Josiah...
* can count to 10, when he wants to.
* can say a lot of his ABC's, again, when he wants to.
* loves hiding things and playing hide and seek.
* speaks in phrases and short sentences.
* knows the word "pretending" and uses it correctly.
* has an amazing ability to learn people's names.
* loves to jump and run.
* gets very concerned when reading "Green Eggs and Ham."
* loves Donald Duck.
* has soup involved in most of his times of pretending.
* loves tea.
* begs to watch videos of himself.
* can do a pushup.
* really really likes ribs, aka "bones."
* can fill in random words and phrases from most all of his books.
* knows all his colors, except black and white.
* knows several shapes.
* can be intentionally deceptive and sneaky.
* can mostly identify gender.
* does not like peanut butter.
* uses possessives, plurals, and contractions correctly.
* gets very excited about trains, planes, and other various large vehicles.

That's enough. Basically, he's a very normal boy toddler. And we love him. :)
