Around here

On Monday, Josiah got sent home from school with a fever. He didn't have a fever when he went to school (because they check), but 2 hours later he did. He had a few cold symptoms and some eye drainage. As best as we can tell, he has pink eye. Whether viral or bacterial, I don't know, but we went to the doctor and got antibacterial eye drops. Since he has continued to have eye drainage all week, he hasn't been to school and there hasn't been any of this happening:

(Thankfully Daniel hasn't gotten sick.)

I would have missed my 3 hours in the afternoon with only one kid, except that Josiah has been napping this week. So I've actually gotten a few days when both kids were taking afternoon naps. Yesterday that resulted in a homemade chicken pie. Homemade crust and everything.

Anyway, there hasn't been a whole lot going on inside the house this week, so here are a few pictures from outside of the house.

Hello Water Buffalo.

There is a house being built right outside and not only are the construction techniques fascinating and a little funny, so are the clothes worn by the construction crew. These pants were just too awesome to not take a picture of.

Outfit complete with fanny pack!

Hopefully Josiah can go to school Monday. Because Nathan leaves for Vietnam Monday morning and I know I will need that 3 hour break from the opinionated little 3 year old!

  1. "opinionated"?!? (That needs a good non-snarky comment. Sorry, brain cramp.)
