Backtracking

We made it to LA. Again. We left the house at 5am (eastern time) and drove to Detroit. We parked at an off site lot and as the shuttle was approaching the terminal realized that Nathan's wallet was still in the car. So the shuttle took us back to the car. Checking in was all fine and dandy, but we misread our gate number. So after trekking to the complete opposite side of the airport, we realized our gate was actually close to where we started. But thankfully we had plenty of time. Josiah was great on the flight... watched Sesame Street videos, read books, ate snacks, and even slept an hour!

So now I'm sitting in the hotel hallway outside our room where Josiah is sleeping, now that it is finally midnight (eastern time). For waking up at 5am and getting a total of about 2 1/2 hours of naps, midnight seems an appropriate bedtime. He was such a trooper today! Flew across the country, met lots of new people, went swimming, and is now sleeping in an industrial hotel crib.

We've got a great turn out for our 10 year reunion! Though not all graduates, there are about 30 people here to celebrate our reunion, which is pretty impressive since our graduating class was only 40!

  1. "Leave wallet in____." Scary is when you realize your wallet is in the taxi cab that brought you to the High Speed Rail station and your ticket for the HSR is in the wallet and you can't run fast enough to catch the cab.
