Elmo saves the car ride.

Yesterday we drove 3 hours each way to share in the joy of Heather and Eric getting married. It was great to see friends from far away, learn how turtles teach lessons about marriage, and eat delicious cake. Overall the 6 hour drive was pretty good, though we definitely had our moments. Josiah didn't sleep at all on the way down, which I was counting on. Then, at 6pm, after not napping all day, we got in the car to go home and he fell asleep immediately. But only for 45 minutes. Which left him overtired and uncomfortable and crying. We stopped for dinner and then for the remaining 2 hour drive home Josiah watched movies on the computer. So even though we didn't get home until 10pm, there was no more sleeping, just staring at fuzzy monsters and talking vegetables. We have entered a new era of traveling.

During the wedding, we cornered Josiah in the balcony. Mommy and Papa blocking the ends with Daddy supervising. Josiah ate and played with cameras and phones. We actually made it through the whole wedding without him screaming something ridiculous. Good times.
The lovely bride and groom.
And the church steeple.
That was pretty much all the pictures we took. Oh well! :)
